Bathroom Remodel Timeline: What to Actually Expect

By Cristian Franco

One of the most common questions we get: 'How long will my bathroom remodel take?' Here's a realistic timeline based on hundreds of bathroom projects we've completed.

Week 1: Demo & Rough-In. We protect your home, demo the old bathroom, and handle any plumbing/electrical rough-in. This is when we discover any hidden issues (water damage, outdated wiring). If we find something, we stop and discuss it with you immediately.

Week 2: Waterproofing & Tile. This is the most critical phase. Proper waterproofing prevents thousands of dollars in future damage. We never rush this step. Custom tile work begins — showers, floors, accent walls.

Week 3: Fixtures & Finishing. Vanity installation, plumbing connections, lighting, mirrors, accessories. The bathroom starts coming together and looking amazing.

Week 4: Final Details & Walkthrough. Touch-ups, caulking, final cleaning, and your walkthrough. We don't leave until you're 100% happy.

Pro tip: The best time to start a bathroom remodel is 6-8 weeks before you need it done. Don't wait until the last minute — good contractors book out.
